I have to unfortunately put out the same warning regarding rejected models from this project that I did for our PRR cabin car project, please see the following PAGE for an overview of the situation. The same situation existed with this project that EK Models, the builder, created with the cabin car project. After long delays and a lack of responsiveness following two successful projects, the builder demanded full payment for the project prior to being allowed to inspect the models, if you ever have chance to see one of the rejects you'll understand why. There was a simple response to that demand which I will leave to your imagination and then the project was restarted with a new more qualified and reliable builder.

The same cast of characters has been involved in starting the distribution of the junk models while seeking a quick bunk praying on unsuspecting modelers. In short, the reject models have a mix of inaccurately applied detailing between versions, missing details, poorly applied detailing, poor quality castings, a general lack of quality construction and extremely poor paint work including inaccurate primary colors for all versions. The reject models also have wheelsets built to our old profile standards, while our final production models utilize our prototypically scale wheelsets. The lack of quality and detailing is consistent with the related load models as well.

There is no mistake when you are considering a genuine Kohs & Company model, the overall quality will be consistent with previous projects, there will be a serial number plate on the underside of the model and there will be a serial number certificate signed by me (George W. Kohs, Jr.) provided with the model. If you are evaluating a model priced considerably below our very reasonable established price, you should be concerned that you are buying an inferior model, particularly if it does not have the proper documentation mentioned above.
